Swedish Honey Cinnamon Cookies
Unlike typical cookies, which taste the best the moment they leave the oven, these cookies are best the next day as the flavours develop.
1 CUP BUTTER
1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
1/2 CUP HONEY
1 EGG
1 TSP VANILLA
2 3/4 CUP FLOUR
3/4 TSP SALT
1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
1 TSP CINNAMON
CREAM: BUTTER AND SUGAR WELL
BEAT: IN HONEY
BLEND IN: DRY INGREDIENTS
CHILL DOUGH FOR AT LEAST 8 HR
ROLL DOUGH 1/4 TO 1/8 IN. THICK
USE COOKIE CUTTERS TO CUT OUT SHAPES
SAVE SCRAP DOUGH IN THE FRIDGE UNTIL YOU HAVE A TRAY, THEN ROLL OUT AND CUT
BAKE AT 375 F FOR 8 TO 10 MINUTES. WATCH SO THEY DON'T BURN.
COOL. ICE WITH WHITE ICING IF DESIRED. I PUT 2 DOLLOPS ON THE BODY AND PLACE A SMALL CINNAMON HEART ON IT.
Cinnamon Twists
Cinnamon has a special place in Christmas baking. It smells and tastes like winter. Here's a great recipe to fully appreciate the spice.
5 CUPS FLOUR
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 CUP MILK
1 LB MARGARINE
2 EGGS
2 CUPS WHITE SUGAR
6 TSP CINNAMON
MIX FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, MILK, MARGARINE AND EGGS. DIVIDE INTO 10 EQUAL PARTS.
MIX WHITE SUGAR AND CINNAMON.
SPRINKLE BOARD WITH SUGAR MIXTURE AND ROLL OUT FLOUR MIXTURE.
CUT IN TRIANGLES, ROLL UP STARTING AT THE BIG END.
ROLL IN SUGAR AND PLACE ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET.
BAKE AT 350 F FOR 15-20 MINUTES.
Red Velvet Spritz Cookies

1 CUP SOFT BUTTER
3 OZ SOFT CREAM CHEESE
1 CUP SUGAR
1 LARGE EGG, SEPERATED
1 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
2 TSP RED PASTE FOOD COLOURING
1/2 TSP PEPPERMINT EXTRACT (OPTIONAL)
2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
1 TBSP BAKING COCOA
1 TBSP WATER
SPRINKLES
CREAM BUTTER, CREAM CHEESE AND SUGAR UNTIL FLUFFY
BEAT IN EGG YOLK, VANILLA, FOOD COLOURING AND PEPPERMINT
WHISK FLOUR AND COCOA IN ANOTHER BOWL, SLOWLY BEAT INTO CREAMED MIXTURE
CUT COOKIES TO DESIRED SHAPE AND PLACE ON UNGREASED BAKING SHEETS 1 IN. APART
MIX EGG WHITE AND WATER AND BRUSH OVER COOKIES
DECORATE AS DESIRED
BAKE AT 350F FOR 10-12 MINUTES.

You can never go wrong with chocolate. It doesn't even matter what time of year it is. It's a great way to gather friends and family around the table.
1 1/2 CUPS BROWN SUGAR

1 1/2 CUPS CHOCOLATE CHIPS
1 CAN SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK
CREAM BROWN SUGAR AND BUTTER, THEN ADD 2 EGGS AND MIX WELL
ADD 1 1/2 TSP VANILLA, 3/4 TSP SALT, FLOUR, BAKING SODA, OATMEAL
PRESS 2/3 DOUGH INTO 9X13 PAN. REMAINING 1/3 SAVED FOR TOP
MELT 2 TBSP BUTTER, CONDENSED MILK, CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND REMAINING VANILLA AND SALT ON LOW HEAT
SPREAD IN N EVEN LAYER OVER BASE IN PAN
PLACE HEAPING TABLESPOONS OF REMAINING DOUGH OVER FILLING AND PRESS UNTIL COVERED
BAKE AT 350 F FOR 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL BROWN
Marshmallow Caramel Rice Krispies Puffs

14 OZ CAN SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK
4 TBSP BUTTER
60 LARGE MARSHMALLOWS
8 CUPS RICE KRISPIES CEREAL
MELT CARAMELS, SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK AND BUTTER IN BOILER
INDIVIDUALLY DIP MARSHMALLOWS INTO CARAMEL MIXTURE, LET EXCESS DRIP OFF
ROLL IN RICE KRISPIES
PLACE ON WAX PAPER AND PUT IN FREEZER
CAN BE EATEN FROZEN OR SLIGHTLY THAWED
