Highways outside the city have started closing, with more closures possible as winds and snow pick up.

A Colorado low is bringing snow and wind to southern Manitoba. Wind gusts up to 70 km/hr can be expected in and around Winnipeg with 2-4 centimetres of snow falling overnight. This can lead to poor visibility, especially at night.

One road has already been shut down due to poor visibility:
