Everyone is safe following a fire in a home Tuesday evening in Winnipeg's Daniel McIntyre neighbourhood.

Crews were called to the 600 block of Toronto Street just after 8 p.m. to a fire in a single-family, two-storey home.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they encountered smoke coming from the home. They were able to launch an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 8:14 p.m.

Everyone in the home was able to evacuate on their own before crews arrived. There were no injuries reported.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service says the cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
