Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, calling for the potential of a Colorado Low later this week.

After two days of unseasonably mild conditions, a cold front from Alberta is expected to bring rain or snow into Westman on Tuesday night, which will slowly push through southern Manitoba on Wednesday.

There is then the potential for the development of a Colorado Low beginning sometime Thursday and continuing into the weekend. This system could dump heavy rain or heavy snow.

Environment Canada says it is too early to predict exactly where and how much precipitation will fall. However, other forecasters have predicted that upwards of 20 centimetres of snow is possible for Winnipeg and southeastern Manitoba.
