As facilities reopen across the city and the Community Ambassador program ceases, planners are looking towards more public facility openings.

On Wednesday, most of the City's public outdoor spray pads reopened. The reopenings of these facilities are not without changes, as washrooms within splash pad areas are not reopening.

ds that the city does not know when they will be reopening pools yet, as they will need to be cautious about finding ways to safely enter the building, as well as keeping up with cleaning practices. Shaw says it is important for the city to follow all guidelines set out by the Province, which is why it may take time to arrange.

Mayor Brian Bowman says he hopes to reopen pools as soon as possible.

Tomorrow, the Community Ambassador program that was created in March will cease to be in operation. As facilities reopen, the previously redeployed staff embodying 'other duties as required' are returning to their original facilities and specialties.

While these workers will not be in parks educating residents, the City says Bylaw officers will be issuing tickets if needed.

On Monday, three public libraries will open: The Millenium Library, Henderson Library, and the Pembina Trails Library.

These libraries are operating on a limited basis.
