Boko Haram has killed seven and kidnapped 21 children and young adults in attacks on predominantly Christian villages.

The Islamic terrorist group launched another series of attacks against civilians in various villages in North Cameroon, reports Faithwire.

According to Amnesty International, around 275 people have been killed in the region this year. 225 were reported to be civilians.

The most recent attacks began on Dec. 1, 2019, when gunmen attacked funeral attendees in Kotserehé in the Mayo Sava district.

One eyewitness says the incident was chaos. "Women have fled without being able to take their children with them."

The funeral attack killed four and injured three.

The village of Zangola was attacked by militants the following night. Three died and another was injured while homes were looted by attackers. Villagers left their homes to save their lives.

Elsewhere on Dec. 2, in Yagouna village, militants reportedly stole from 11 homes, causing major damage to them in the process.

Despite attempts by the Cameroon army to contain and restrict the activity of Boko Haram, the group continues to evade and cause destruction. Poor roads and many isolated villages spread throughout a vast area also make the group difficult to combat.
