A year and a half after publicly announcing the end of her marriage, Lysa Terkuerst of Proverbs 31 Ministries posted pictures of a recommitment ceremony between her and husband Art.
On June 13, 2017, Terkuerst published a post on her well-known blog announcing the end of her marriage after 25 years. Since then she has shared publicly and honestly about her husband Art's infidelity and the end of their marriage.
Just a few months later, in November of 2017, she announced a cancer diagnosis.
"As my family has walked through a long season of hardship, I have been devastated beyond what I thought I could survive at times," she wrote in July of this year.
"But I’ve also been incredibly blessed and humbled as I have watched the work God has been doing in all of us."
Part of that work has included the restoration of her marriage.
"On an unusually sunny Tuesday in December, we dressed up a bit and whispered healing words, heartfelt promises, and holy vows," she wrote in an Instagram post. The post included pictures of the ceremony and the Terkuerst family.
"A million prayers. A miracle answer. A marriage restored," she said in closing.
