Officials are continuing a desperate recovery mission in the country of Indonesia after a devastating earthquake last week.

A 7.5-magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi on Friday. As the death toll continues to rise dozens of teens at a Bible camp are now confirmed among the dead.

Christianity Today reports that "Under the rubble of one church destroyed in a mudslide, the Indonesian Red Cross this week discovered the bodies of 34 kids who were attending Pusdiklat GPID Patmos 'Jono Oge,' a church training center in Sigi, located outside the provincial capital of Palu."

Officials say that another 52 young people are still missing from the camp. Officials expect the death toll at the Jono Oge to continue to climb as recovery continues.

The church/center was well known for hosting young people for worship and training in discipleship.

Teens had just shared posts on social media last week from the center, quoting Scripture.
