One man is facing more than half a dozen charges after a house party turned violent.

A party that occurred between Wednesday night and Thursday morning saw a violent end.

During the overnight party in a 400 block of Flora residence, a man became upset and threatened violence. The man then shot the residence's ceiling several times.

Partygoers took and hid the gun from the man, making the man angrier, threatening to kill a woman. The man then grabbed the gun and left the party.

Later, at 8:30 a.m, police responded to the 400 block of Flora at the same residence where the party occurred, finding a man who had been shot. It was discovered that the man whom partygoers say was threatening them returned to the residence, shooting the man and fleeing.

The victim, a 19-year-old, was transported to the hospital in unstable condition, where he remains in stable condition.

The suspect, a 22-year-old, was later located at a 700 block of Stella Avenue residence.

The man is facing the following charges:

  • Carry Concealed Weapon
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition
  • Careless use of a Firearm
