A massive fire is keeping the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service busy Tuesday morning.

Just after 5:00 a.m., fire crews responded to a warehouse on Sutherland Avenue near Maple Street North.

A third alarm was called because of the size of the fire, which means three complements (three aerial ladders, and up to 15 other apparatus or vehicles) were dispatched to the scene.

Crews are expected to remain at the scene throughout the day to ensure the fire stays contained to one building.

Residents who live nearby are encouraged to close their windows to protect their home’s air quality.
