A 27-year-old man is wanted for second-degree murder in a recent homicide case and police are asking the public for assistance. 

On March 18, 2024, at roughly 4:40 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Selkirk Avenue regarding a deceased male. The man was identified as Edgar Allan Bear.

Bear was 56 years old and originally from Peguis First Nation. However, he was living in Winnipeg at the time of the murder. 

Currently, Maxim Dale Garneau is wanted for second-degree murder. 

While the WPS is asking for the public's assistance in locating Garneau, they urge the public not to approach him. Garneau is considered dangerous.
