Highway 52, near Mitchell, has been reopened after Steinbach emergency crews were called to a serious collision near Steinbach.

STARS Air Ambulance and Steinbach emergency crews have responded to a four-vehicle collision approximately one mile west of Mitchell. Highway 52 is completely blocked off and traffic is being detoured down nearby gravel roads.

The status of those involved in the collision is unknown at this time.

RCMP officers at the scene say a total of four vehicles were involved in the collision.

A traffic analyst has been called to investigate the collision and the highway was reopened at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
