Tim Allen forgives father's killer after 60 years, inspired by Erika Kirk Home Improvement star and the voice of Buzz Lightyear, Tim Allen, recently professed how he was able to forgive his dad's killer after 60 years. Allen has faced many trials and challenges in his personal and professional life, including losing his dad when he was just 11 years old. Allen has previously shared how hard it has been to forgive his father's killer, up until recently. Read More Sacred Fire lit at Winnipeg Police Headquarters for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and the Winnipeg Police Service is pleased to honour Residental School Survivors, their families, and impacted communities. A Sacred Fire was lit outside the Police Headquarters at sunrise by members of the WPS who are Fire Keepers and Elder Mike Calder. Fire Keepers will maintain the fire for 24 hours until sunrise on September 30, when it will be left to extinguish itself in keeping with tradition. Read More Cancer survivor raises over $40,000, meets hero who first swam across Lake Winnipeg Two-time cancer survivor Jon Fenton recently handed big cheques of over $40,000 total to Cancer Care Manitoba and Alberta after attempting to swim across Lake Winnipeg this summer. "I tried to swim across Lake Winnipeg from Grand Beach to Gimli," says Fenton. "I didn't quite make it. I came up short, but I didn't leave anything out there." Read More
