The Winnipeg Police are searching for a female suspect that is believed to be involved in a homicide case, they are asking for assistance from the public.

On June 26, at approximately 9:20 a.m. the WFPS responded to a medical incident in the 100 block of Henry Avenue. When they arrived on the scene, the located a deceased woman in a suite of a multi-room residence and contacted police.

Members of the Central District General Patrol arrived at the residence and confirmed the discovery. The female was transported to the hospital, where an autopsy was conducted. Her death has been deemed a homicide.

The victim was identified as 28-year-old Falin Johnston from Winnipeg and the family has been notified.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and believes an adult female suspect is involved in the death of Johnston and has been identified as 40-year-old Rebecca Marina Flett from Winnipeg. She is wanted in connection with this case and is believed to be evading police.

Flett is described as follows:

  • Indigenous
  • Approximately 5'4" in height
  • Approximately 160 lbs
  • Medium build
  • Long brown hair (length and colour may have been altered.
