A man wanted for sexual assault and multiple counts of child luring could be in Winnipeg.

Constable Rob Carver from the Winnipeg Police Service says that a man wanted in Edmonton was spotted in Winnipeg Thursday afternoon and early evening.

"What really is critical here is we have got somebody who was in the city yesterday and a high likelihood would still be in the city and presents a significant risk to anyone around him," Carver says.

Carver says he could still be in Winnipeg and presents a severe risk to public safety. Carver says significant police resources are being dedicated to locating the suspect.

Aaron Renee Prasad-Pal, a 24-year-old from Edmonton, is wanted for:

- Luring a Child Under 16 x 3
- Obtaining Sexual Considerations x 2
- Invitation to Sexual Touching x 2
- Sexual Assault
- Sexual Interference

Police say he committed these acts in Edmonton.

Carver could not comment on the connection between the charges but says he has two warrants out in his name.

"I do not have access to the detailed reports that would be with the Edmonton Police Service."

Prasad-Pal is South Asian, 6’3” in height, and 238lbs. He has black hair and black eyes.

Police say he is armed and dangerous. They are asking the public to call 911 when spotted and to not approach the man.

Earlier this year in March, the Winnipeg Police Service shared that a different 27-year-old suspect from Edmonton was being charged with child luring in Winnipeg.
