Winnipeg Police are searching for a suspect in connection to the city's latest homicide.
At around 3:20 a.m. Saturday, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the back lane of the 200 block of Furby Street for the report of a man who had been stabbed.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located an unresponsive 50-year-old man. Officers provided emergency medical care for the victim before he was transported to hospital in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The suspect fled before police arrived on scene. No arrests have been made.
The Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation.
