Tweets from the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) are alerting city residents to avoid two areas due to ongoing fires.
Around 10 p.m. Sunday, police advised the public to avoid the the 800 block of McDermot Avenue due to a working fire.
Police say traffic east bound from Arlington Street has been closed.

City residents were also informed of a residential fire in the 300 block of College Avenue around 11 p.m.
Police say Aikens Street from Mountain Avenue to Boyd Avenue and College Avenue from Aikens Street to Charles Street are closed. The public has been asked to avoid the area.
