Out of Wednesday's 56 new COVID-19 cases, three quarters were not fully vaccinated.

In data released by the province of Manitoba, 13 new COVID-19 cases are in people who are fully vaccinated, three who are partially vaccinated, and 36 who are not. 

New COVID-19 cases include:

  • 26 in Southern Health - Sante Sud 
  • 14 in Winnipeg
  • six in Northern Health
  • four in Interlake-Eastern Health
  • two in Prairie Mountain Health

In total there have been 59,052 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 438 of those active. There are 57,416 people who have recovered and 1,198 who died.

Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate is 2.8 per cent.

 

Hospitalizations

As the fourth wave's "pandemic of the unvaccinated" is proving true, 94 per cent of all hospitalized COVID-19 patients and all intensive care patients are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

There are 74 people in Manitoba's hospitals being treated for COVID-19, including 31 active cases. In intensive care, there are 15 people with nine active cases.

COVID-19 hospitalizations include two fully vaccinated people, three partially vaccinated people, and 26 unvaccinated people.

 

Pop up vaccines

Two Winnipeg parks will be the site of mobile vaccination clinics between noon and 5 p.m. Clinics are happening on Saturday at Assiniboine Park in the Pavilion parking lot and Sunday at Kildonan Park on the service road between the pool and Rainbow Stage.
