Winnipeg firefighters were kept busy over the weekend responding to three separate house fires in less than 12 hours. 

The first fire broke out just before 9 p.m. on Saturday in a vacant two-and-a-half-storey home in the 400 block of Stella Avenue. 

At the scene, crews saw flames and smoke coming from the building. Firefighters attacked the fire from outside the building because conditions were unsafe for entry. The fire was under control at 10:13 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The building is considered a complete loss and has been demolished.

A few hours later, just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, fire crews responded to reports of a fire in a vacant two-storey house in the 100 block of Grove Street.

When crews arrived at the home, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Firefighters attacked the fire from inside, declaring the fire under control at 2:24 a.m.  No injuries were reported.

Just over 5  hours later, firefighters were called to a one-and-a-half-storey home in the 400 block of Victor Street.

At the scene, crews saw heavy black smoke coming from the home. Firefighters attacked the fire from inside the house, declaring the fire under control at 8:06 a.m.

Firefighters searched the building to ensure no one was inside. No injuries were reported.

The cause of all three fires remains under investigation.
