The Jets have home ice advantage for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and fans will have home street advantage too.
The Winnipeg Whiteout Street Party is once again set to take over the streets next to BellMTS Place for every Jets home game. Here's what you need to know:
Tickets
Tickets for the Street Party can be purchased here.
Tickets are $5 each and 100% of the funds will be distributed through the United Way Winnipeg. True North Sports + Entertainment said earlier they hope the small fee will prevent people from taking tickets they do not intend to use.
People with tickets to the games automatically receive tickets to the parties.
Once again there is a Family Zone available that is alcohol-free. Children aged five and under do not need tickets for the parties.
Weather
As of Monday morning, the weather is forecasted to be above normal this week. Highs in the mid-teens are expected all week.
The high for Thursday is currently 15°C and the overnight low is 0°C.
For an updated forecast check here.
Food
Fans are allowed to bring in a single serve snack like a granola bar.
No outside beverages are allowed.
Food trucks will be on site, and are cash only.
Entrances
There are several entrance points to the parties:
- Graham near Hargrave
- Donald near Graham
- Smith near Portage
For the Family Zone there are the following entrances:
- St. Mary Rd near Smith
- Smith St. sidewalk from within the main party
There is also a dedicated exit only via Donald and Smith.
What to wear
Ahem. Wear white, please.
Everything else
There will be plenty of washrooms on-site.
Lawnchairs are allowed, and people wanting to sit are encouraged to arrive early so they can claim a spot up front.
There will also be ATMs on-site for those who forget to bring cash.
Fans are also encouraged to bring a tin for the bin.
Be sure to listen to CHVN 95.1 FM for traffic updates during each home game.
