While the Province of Manitoba says Winnipeg's COVID reporting will be split into 12 divisions, a 13th division is being documented.

On Friday, September 11, the Province of Manitoba released more separations in the Winnipeg Health Region.

The promised 12 divisions are present, but a 13th division, the Unknown Community Area is also on the list with two active cases and three recovered.

When reaching out to the province, a spokesperson told CHVN that there are several reasons why a case would be designated into the area.

"While we know the regional health authority, the address cannot be determined due to a postal code being entered incorrectly or an old postal code was provided. The cases might also still be under investigation leaving the community area to be determined or for an individual who does not have a fixed address," they say in an email.

They say an incorrectly-entered address could also result in a temporary classification.
