Motorists are reporting westbound traffic on Highway 1 is at a complete stop at Falcon Lake due to a collision Thursday morning.

Manitoba Infrastructure sent out a tweet at 6:15 a.m. saying that the highway is closed completely at Falcon Lake.

The collision happened just west of where the highway becomes divided.

One witness at the scene tells CHVN a semi has rolled blocking both lanes. They say that fire crews have indicated that the closure could last for hours while the scene is cleared.

The witness also says westbound traffic is being rerouted down Highway 44.
