Actress Candace Cameron Bure says that her TV dad, Bob Saget, "was one of the best humans beings" she has ever known and pays tribute to him in a number of emotional social media posts.

News of Saget's passing at an Orlando, Fla. hotel broke on Sunday and shocked many. He was 65. Sunday evening Cameron Bure took to Twitter, saying "I don’t know what to say Broken heart. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans (sic) beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much."

Saget was beloved for his role as Danny Tanner on the hit sitcom Full House in the 1980s and '90s, and Cameron Bure played his eldest daughter, D.J. While Saget was known on that show and America's Funniest Home Videos for clean family comedy and a wholesome image, his actual standup routines could be quite crass and often shocked many who weren't familiar with that side of him. But Cameron Bure, a vocal Christian, says that Saget was a caring and loving individual behind the scenes.

Cameron Bure also shared a joint statement with her Full House co-stars on her Instagram saying, "Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family. And now we grieve as a family."

The cast says that while they are grieving they are also thankful for their time with Saget. "Bob made us laugh until we cried. Now our tears flow in sadness, but also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob. He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us. Bob, we love you dearly."

In memory of their friend and co-star, the actors write that people should take the time to embrace their loved ones. "We ask in Bob’s honor, hug the people you love. No one gave better hugs than Bob."
