Winnipeg and southeastern Manitoba seem to have escaped the worst of the storm, but it was a different story for areas west and north of the Perimeter Highway.

The blizzard created treacherous driving conditions on Monday. Many listeners in the western part of the province reported zero visibility, and their pictures prove it. In some of the pictures, hidden behind walls of snow, are grain elevators, and entire towns.
