It was a night of many firsts as Manitoba's professional soccer team moved to a perfect record after hitting the pitch for the first time in Victoria, BC. 

British forward Stephen Hoyle opened the scoring for Valour at the 23-minute mark. Hoyle will go in the record books with Valour FC's first-ever goal.

Jose Hernandez was able to respond for Pacific FC at the 45th minute.

But Dylan Carreiro, Valour's first-ever draft pick, scored the team's first-ever game-winner. His goal at the 78th minute sealed the deal for Valour and put them at 1-0-0.

Pacific had won their first game on Sunday against the HFX Wanderers FC and move to 1-1-0.

The Canadian Premier League is in its first season. There are seven teams in the league spread throughout Canada. There are 28 games in the regular season.

Valour has their first home game in Winnipeg at Investor's Group Field on Saturday, May 4.
