The Winnipeg Police Service is continuing to investigate after an assault left a man in hospital early Monday morning.

On November 30, 2020, at 1:11 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 300 block of Ross Avenue for a report of a male who had been assaulted. 

Officers located an adult male suffering from serious injuries. He was subsequently transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable condition.

Soon after, an injured adult male attended a residence in the 600 block of McGee Street. He was located and transported to hospital where he was treated and released.

This male has been taken into custody, along with an adult female suspect. Police say the two suspects knew each other and the victim. The pair of suspects sharing the same last name are facing assault and weapons-related charges.
