It's no secret that TobyMac and his family have had quite a rough year, so his wife is taking a moment to share his inspiring strength with the world.
"Good morning world... I hacked Toby’s phone. It’s my husband's birthday today!" writes Amanda Levy McKeehan on TobyMac's Instagram page.
Roughly a year ago, TobyMac and his wife lost their eldest son Truett when he passed away from an accidental overdose. He also posted a memorial to his late sister Kristin, who passed away in early September of this year.
"Toby has lead us through the valley of the shadow of death this year... with strength and humility and it has been our honor to walk with him," says McKeehan.
She also shares a glimpse into the family's personal life.
"Babe, may the world know that we, your family, declare your public image pales in comparison to your private personhood."
TobyMac has been in the Christian music industry playing music and touring for 33 years, playing initially in the band DC Talk before branching off on his own. He is known for being candid and talking openly about faith and life during his shows.
"They say the truth of a man’s character is found in the eyes of his wife. So I offer mine this morning... unfiltered and unadorned," McKeehan includes in the post alongside a photo of herself.
She ends simply, "Happy Happy Birthday till death do us part... and even then."
