Did you enjoy the weather this past weekend? You'll need to get used to it, because the warm weather appears to be sticking around.

"If we look at what we would normally see at this time of year . . . we typically see temperatures around 17° during the day," said Natalie Hasell, Warning Preparedness Meteorologist for Environment and Climate Change Canada. "We are right on that or slightly warmer for the next week or so."

"We're certainly into more spring-like, even summer-like weather."

Hasell said there is a chance of showers later in the afternoon and going into tomorrow, but after that, it should be sunny and warm for the rest of the week and through the weekend.

"Temperatures are going to remain above zero for the next two weeks," Hasell said, but then added "that's what most of the models are pointing too." We may see some more rain starting next week, however.

With all these warm temperatures in spring, we can sometimes forget how powerful the sun is. Hasell warns everyone that if they are going to enjoy the outdoors, they need to take the same precautions they would in the middle of summer.

"Sunscreen, hydrate, all the usual stuff," Hasell said.
