Rare publication of teen's identity

Typically youth cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The RCMP made a special application under the act to identify the youth.

The application was approved as there is a reason to believe that the young person may be a danger to others and that the publication of information is necessary to assist in apprehending the young person.
