The University of Manitoba is holding a winter festival on Tuesday, February 28 to celebrate their 140th anniversary and Canada's 150th.

The day will start off with a sunrise ceremony at the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation at 7:00 a.m. followed by a free pancake breakfast for students, staff, and faculty. 

Then there will be afternoon festivities for the U of M community including free lunch, a performance by the University Singers, smores, snowshoeing, human foosball, live bands, food trucks, birthday cake, hot chocolate, and more. The festival comes to an end at 4:30 p.m.
