The Winnipeg Police Service says that missing 21-year-old Taylor Pryor has been located deceased.

Taylor went missing on Thursday after being discharged from Victoria General Hospital. Her mom, Darseen, says Taylor had been in the hospital after a suicide attempt. When Darseen arrived to pick Taylor up she refused to go with her mom. Darseen says staff at the hospital said that because Taylor is an adult she didn't have to go with her. She followed Taylor until Taylor jumped a fence into the old golf course on the grounds of the University of Manitoba.

Family, friends, and complete strangers had joined in a search for her. That search was called off Saturday morning.

The WPS says that "no criminality is suspected at this time."

A large police presence could be seen Saturday just off Pembina Highway in the area that Taylor was last seen. Police, however, have not confirmed if the presence was related. They had said earlier in the day that the call was "medical-related."

Her family had remained hopeful and prayerful earlier Saturday that she would be found safe.

Canadian Mennonite University posted after the search was called off that those wishing to do so could gather at the school's chapel. A forum, support, and counselling were being offered there.

Taylor had previously been a student at CMU as well as a participant in CMU's Outta Town program.

Darseen told CHVN on Friday that Taylor was somebody who loved to help others. That care for others also came through work at Valley View Bible Camp and Youth For Christ in Portage la Prairie.

"She just loves to be able to serve and help people. That's just her nature, her character."
