An iconic bridge in Winnipeg is closing yet again for maintenance on Wednesday.

The City of Winnipeg says the southbound direction of travel on the Arlington Bridge from Dufferin Avenue to Logan Avenue will be temporarily closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The 109-year-old bridge is no stranger to maintenance and closures. In the fall of 2020 and 2019, it was closed completely for two weeks both times to work on the structure.

The City of Winnipeg says that pedestrian access will be maintained Wednesday.

Motorists should allow for additional travel time and use alternate routes, such as the McPhillips Street Underpass or Slaw Rebchuk Bridge, to reach their destinations.
