A low pressure system moving into Manitoba is bringing along the potential for severe weather, Thursday.

Environment Canada forecasters say that the entire province could experience thunderstorms.

However, areas under the greatest risk could see 2-5 cm hail, as well as wind gusts up to 90 km/h.

Rainfall between 50 and 75 mm is also expected for parts of eastern Manitoba.

Meteorologists say "There is a slight risk for tornadoes in extreme southeastern Manitoba this evening, otherwise the highest threat will shift east into Ontario."

CHVN will continue to monitor conditions throughout the day.
