You could think of it as a one stop shop in education and resources about ending poverty together.

There are many organizations that are working to end different types of impoverishment in their own way, but now Siloam Mission, together with approximately two dozen other organizations have locked arms in creating a resource hub for education and action on working together to ending poverty all in one location.

Luke Thiessen, Communications Manager at Siloam Mission stated that, “Each collaborator with the project brings different kinds of resources but a lot of it focuses around education, whether it’s blog posts about what you can do as an individual, to help fight poverty and whether it’s in your neighbourhood, your city or broadly around the world.”
Siloam Mission’s education coordinator speaks in schools to educate students as well on the root causes of poverty and homelessness.

The website is called Ending Poverty Together, which was put on by Food For the Hungry Canada and has just recently launched. It’s a uniquely Canadian and uniquely Christian website. It boasts hundreds of thought-provoking articles, videos, testimonies, as well as courses from industry experts around the country who are dedicating their lives to ending poverty in all its forms. The website offers Canadians free access to the knowledge, tools and networks needed to make sustainable and transformational impact for the vulnerable in their communities. Also, the content is always refreshed and current.

Ending Poverty Together is “a true expression of God’s love for the world and for people in need, people who are struggling, people who are down, for all of us in Christian organizations to come together and share and cooperate and try to work together for that common good even if each of us is doing it in a different place and in a different way,” states Luke Thiessen.
