A number of storms moving through southern Manitoba have prompted Environment Canada to issue a number of warnings and watches early Friday morning.

A line of storms moving through the south is capable of producing high winds and quarter-sized hail.

Environment Canada says wind speeds could top out above 90 km/h. Last week a storm producing winds of 100 km/h ripped the roof off the old arena in Niverville, Man.

Thunderstorms are expected to arrive in Winnipeg this morning, with showers throughout the city most of the day.
