Another storm system is moving through Manitoba, prompting Environment Canada (EC) to issue alerts for some parts of the Interlake.

EC has said in a release that "conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail."

The storms are expected to hit the Interlake this afternoon and continue east.

The main concern right now is strong wind gusts. Objects outdoors should be secured before the storms arrive.

Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
