While winter storm warnings have ended throughout the province many areas are still digging out and several school divisions have closed schools as a result.

While many parts of Winnipeg received over 10cm of snow on Tuesday, areas outside the Perimeter received over 15cm of snow and were hit hard by high winds causing drifting snow.

Around half a dozen school divisions had made the call to cancel classes as or 6:20 a.m. Wednesday. That includes Hanover School Division, Red River Valley School Division, and Interlake School Division.

You can find the complete and updated list of closures as they come in on the A-Z Electronics road reports and cancellations page.

Most divisions that are closed today had also closed on Tuesday, giving kids a short school week this week.

Steinbach, Winkler, Morden, and Altona were all under winter storm warnings until just after 6 a.m. Wednesday.
