The Red River Mutual Trail has grown again, extending down the Assiniboine River.

For the first time since 2014, the skating trail that runs along the Red and Assiniboine Rivers has made it's way to Huge Docks. The trail is now 5.2 kilometres long, and will continue to grow as long as Mother Nature allows.

"We see how much people love to make use of the Red River Mutual Trail for everything from leisure and family activities to commuting to work on skates," says Paul Jordan, CEO of The Forks North Portage Partnership in a release. "It's great to see Winnipeggers excited about getting outside during these winter months, which is why we continue to push the trail as far as it can go."

Right now, the trail stretches from Hugo Docks on the Assiniboine River and all the way to Churchill Drive on the Red River. The trails and rinks are groomed daily, however because of the location, bumps and cracks can form at any time. Use caution, and find the conditions by following @RRMTrail on Twitter.
