Adult & Teen Challenge (ATC) are gearing up for a smashing good time this Sunday.

"We are very excited about this Sunday," says Robby Ahuja, the Chief Development Officer for Adult & Teen Challenge Central Canada. "It's been two years since we've been able to do a gathering in an event like the demolition derby, so it's going to be a fun event."

The family-friendly event held at the Manitoba Stampede & Exhibition grounds in Morris, Man. helps adults and teenagers that are battling addictions.

"Each of these demo cars is put together by our students going through our program," says Ahuja. "They get to be a part of something bigger than themselves."

The demo derby involves donated minivans that have been made ready to be smashed throughout the afternoon on Sunday, September 11.

"My hope is that there will be thousands of people that will be able to gather, celebrate together and rejoice in a fun time of vehicles being banged up, impacted for the Kingdom."

There will be four regular heats with five drivers in minvans competing to keep the vehicle running with a finale at the end. Ahuja shares that some of the students taking the program with ATC will share their testimony during the event.
