Following a trail of screams, RCMP officers say they were led to a shed.

On Sunday morning, officers were called to a home in Norway House following a complaint of a domestic disturbance. Arriving at 7:30 a.m., officers heard a ruckus.

Screaming and calls for help were heard coming from someplace outside the home. Following the screams, officers arrived at a shed.

Breaking the door down, three women aged 24, 28, 35,and one 49-year-old man were freed. RCMP discovered they all had been sprayed with bear spray.

At the scene, the victims were given first aid.

RCMP say a 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene. the 21-year-old suspect is being charged with:

  • Assault with a Weapon x4
  • Forcible Confinement x4 
  • Administering a Noxious Substance x4
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Weapons Possession Contrary to an order

RCMP are continuing to investigate. The say it appears the victims were already inside the shed when they were locked inside. They believe it was at this time, through a window, the group was sprayed.
