A 16-year-old girl's community and authorities are hopeful that more information will come to light about her disappearance despite no new tips.

Tammy Nattaway has been missing from Garden Hill First Nation, a reserve in the Island Lake region, for over one month.

After following up on tips, RCMP says they are now dry of new information but beleive she is still alive. They are treating the disappearance as a missing person case. Nattaway is 5'0 and 100 lbs.

RCMP say that Nattaway was first reported as missing on July 31 after not being seen since July 14. After investigating, police say she was last seen by a family member on July 20. The teen has not been active on social media since her disappearance.

The community group looking for Nattaway is asking for prayers as they search.

Investigators arrived in the rural community last month to investigate. Sergeant Paul Manaigre says it was his first time in Garden Hill, saying that the terrain is very different there than it is in Winnipeg.

"We have a territory that is vast with varying degrees of dense brush, tall grasses waterways. It is a very challenging territory for researchers," Manaigre says.

While in the area, authorities say they conducted interviews, following up on each tip.

Community members went door to door, conducting searches in Wasagamack and Garden Hill. Continuing to search, RCMP's Underwater Recovery Team was deployed on August 14, and the Search and Rescue Team on August 15 and 16.

The community joined officers as they searched, hopeful to find Nattaway.

On August 18 and 19, helicopters were dispatched in the area, searching the brush and wooded areas.

Today, Manaigre says they need the public's help finding the missing teen.

"Despite all these efforts by Mantiboa RCMP and local community members, there have been no new sitings of Tammy, and no new information has been received on our end of her possible whereabouts."

The community says that they are offering a $5,000 reward for her safe return home.

Authorities say that could still be in the community.

"Although unlikely, there is also the possibility that Tammy managed to travel to Winnipeg by plane."

RCMP say they searched passenger records, but say it is still possible.

RCMP is asking anyone with information to call 204-456-2626. Anonymous tips can be left online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.

Garden Hill First Nation Chief Dino Flett is asking Garden Hill community members to contact the band office if they know anything about Nattaway's disappearance.
