Brian Pallister will remain the Premier of Manitoba and his party will once again form a majority government.

Political pundits in the province were in agreement just one hour after the polls closed in Manitoba's 42nd general election that the PC Party of Manitoba will hold the majority of seats in Manitoba's Legislative Assembly.

It's still too early to say how many seats the Tories will hold when the Legislature goes back into session.

In 2016 the PCs set a record for the largest majority government in Manitoba history with 40 of 57 available seats.

The NDP has so far gained a few seats since dissolution, while the Liberals have lost one.
