There are 147 new COVID-19 cases being announced on Friday morning.

Friday's new COVID-19 cases include 90 people who are not vaccinated, 52 people who are fully vaccinated, and five people who are fully vaccinated.

There are now 68,308 identified COVID-19 cases in Manitoba.

New cases by health region include:

  • 64 in Southern, 53 people who are not fully vaccinated
  • 46 in Winnipeg, 28 people who are not fully vaccinated
  • 16 in Prairie Mountain, three people who are not fully vaccinated
  • 12 in Interlake-Eastern, six people who are not fully vaccinated
  • nine in Northern people, five who are not fully vaccinated

 

Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate is 5.1 per cent. Winnipeg's test rate is 2.7 percent.

There are 1,403 active cases and 65,577 recoveries.

Four more people have died, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 1,328 people.

Recent deaths include:

  • a female in her 70s from the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region, linked to an outbreak at Salem Home (reported Thursday)
  • a male in his 80s from the Prairie Mountain Health region (reported Thursday)
  • a male in his 90s from the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region, linked to an outbreak at Third Crossing Manor (reported Thursday)
  • a male in his 70s from the Prairie Mountain Health region (reported Friday)
  • a male in his 70s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday)
  • a female in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday)
  • a female in her 100s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Friday)

 

There are 141 people in the hospital, with 88 of those patients having active cases of the virus. There are 48 people with active cases who are not vaccinated, 35 people who are fully vaccinated, and five people who are partially vaccainted.

There are 23 people in intensive care, with 16 of those people having active cases. Fourteen people with active cases are not vaccinated and the other two active cases are fully vaccinated.
