Residents in a United Kingdom care home experienced a royal game of bingo from two special guests.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thanking staff in care homes for their work during the pandemic and giving them a bit of a break by hosting a game of bingo for residents.

Prince William and Kate Middleton chatted with workers from Shire Hall and asked them how they are doing and about the state of their mental health during this time.

"The moral in the home is lovely," one of the workers tells Prince William. "A positive, daily life at Shire Hall."

The royal couple called out bingo numbers for the residents over a live stream. The bingo winner, Jo, was able to chat with the Duke and Duchess for a short while after her win.

Prince William was uncertain if they did a good job at calling numbers, but the residents all appear to have had a good time with the couple.

He says he will "try to do better next time" and thanked the residents for playing with them.
