An urgent call for prayer has gone out following the admission of a Hillsong worship leader to hospital.
On Sunday morning, Chelsea Taylor was leading worship as usual with the team at Hillsong's flagship "Hills" Campus in Sydney, Australia, when she became unwell. She was then taken to hospital in critical condition, CBN News reports.
It is reported that Taylor suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and is now being cared for in ICU.
Hillsong United member Matty Crocker was shocked to learn of his fellow worship leader's condition.
“I am actually speechless right now,” Crocker wrote online. “We were leading worship together yesterday morning and then we both walked off seperate (sic) sides of the stage. Halfway through the message I got a text saying you wouldn’t be up there with us when we go back up. I thought you had fainted and that was it. I only found out in the last few hours how serious it was…”
Crocker also offered Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God."
Ben Lounsbury, a friend of Taylor's, gave more information on the worship leader's condition. He shared that the singer had undergone a nine-hour surgery to treat the ruptured aneurysm.
"Today, an immeasurable Incense of prayer has risen on her behalf, mine included, for her healing, and the glory of our Mighty God," Lounsbury shared.
Cass Langton, lead creative pastor at Hillsong, shared news of Taylor's recovery, already underway.
As of last night, Taylor had been taken off of life support and was "talking and trying to get out of bed." While he mentioned that the doctor's "aren't saying anything," Langton is already calling Taylor's survival a miracle.
"Praise our faithful God… She walked into church Sunday morning in her white sneakers! I am taking them [the doctors] into her room today as A declaration of Faith that she is going to walk out of this hospital 100% healed in Jesus mighty name.”
