Portion of St. Matthews Avenue closed due to collision

A portion of a busy West End street is closed Wednesday morning following a two-vehicle collision.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. on St. Matthews Avenue near Ingersoll Street.
 
As a result, St. Matthews is closed between Ingersoll and Sherburn Street.
 
There is no word on injuries at this time. It is unclear as to how long the roadway will be closed.

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking motorists to avoid the area.
