The Winnipeg Police Service is asking motorists to avoid a stretch of northbound Main Street in the city's downtown on Tuesday morning as they deal with a serious incident.

Northbound Main Street is completely closed between Logan Avenue and Higgins Avenue.
 
It is unclear at this time as to what police are investigating.
