RCMP say the vehicle that hit a 16-year-old has damage from the incident they fled.

On September 30, a 16-year-old girl was on a run when she was hit by a vehicle in Gretna. The teen was critically injured, but the vehicle fled the scene.

RCMP Manitoba is now sharing a description of the SUV or minivan, hoping the public can identify it.

"The vehicle will have visible damage on the passenger side front bumper and possibly along the passenger side from where the vehicle struck the victim. The damage could be as minor as scraped paint, or there could be more significant damage," they say in a statement.

The taillights are narrow and wrap around the side of the vehicle.
