Two men are being charged for allegedly abducting a man this summer, assaulting him, robbing him, and making him breathe in methamphetamine.

Winnipeg Police say a 32-year-old man in hospital told them on June 9th he had been abducted at gunpoint and viciously assaulted by a group of people, beginning around 9:15 the night before.

According to the victim, he was struck in the head, pulled into a van, and had his hands bound. His wallet, money, bank card, and cell phone were taken. He was then taken to an address on Spence Street where he was bound to a chair and assaulted, his PIN number was demanded, a garbage bag was placed over his head and he was forced to breathe in meth with a knife held to his throat, he was hanged out a window, burned with cigarettes, and had a gun pointed to his head.

Investigators executed a search warrant at a Spence Street home on June 11th and found several items related to the kidnapping and assault. Police say video surveillance was used to identify at least two suspects.

One suspect was arrested August 11th; another was arrested yesterday around 1:20 in the morning.

20-year-old Boniface John Mason of Winnipeg and 29-year-old Preston Anthony Kakegamic of Winnipeg are each facing numerous charges.
