Crews are spread throughout the city Friday morning, working to clear streets of snow and ice.
The City of Winnipeg says a city-wide snow clearing operation began Thursday evening around 7 p.m.
Crews are not only clearing Priority 1 roads but also sidewalks and active transportation paths and Priority 2 roads.
The City is reminding drivers to use "extreme caution when driving near heavy equipment."
It is expected that crews will begin clearing back lanes around 7 a.m.
There are no winter parking bans in effect at this time, and currently no plan to clear residential streets.
